On February 27, the Winter Ball of the ninth grade took place in our school gym. For us, it was a very special event that we had been preparing for several months.
The evening began with our opening dance, which we had practiced every Thursday at 7 a.m. for six months. It was not always easy to wake up so early and practice, but in the end all the effort paid off and the performance turned out great.
After we finished our dance, each of us drew a number. Every number represented a small gift that we could later pick up in the school cafeteria.
Then our teacher, Mrs. Pavla Kopp, and her husband surprised us with a beautiful dance performance. They showed us several dances and received a big round of applause.
After that, we prepared a surprise for everyone. We showed a presentation with photos from our time at school, from the first grade to the ninth grade. Seeing all those memories together was very emotional for many of us.
The gym was the main place for the dancing and the disco during the evening.
When guests moved to the cafeteria, they could enjoy catering and photo corner where people could take pictures to remember the evening.
Many teachers know us as the loud students who sometimes do not pay much attention in classes. However, that evening they were surprised to see how elegant we all looked. The boys wore shirts and the girls had beautiful dresses. Everyone looked amazing.
After the presentation, the evening continued with free entertainment and a disco. Even though it was the first time we had organized such an event and not everything was perfect, we truly enjoyed the whole evening.
We would like to wish future ninth graders to come up with their own ball and enjoy it as much as we did. For us, it was a wonderful experience and a beautiful memory of our nine years at this school.
